Why InstiPark was developed

Council’s perspective
  1. Councils were unable to generate revenue through levying parking bays
  2. There are expensive solutions in the market => deployment and maintenance fees; most of which are imported solutions
  3. Existing solutions come with unfriendly business propositions whereby councils get prejudiced significant revenue due high percentages in commission
  4. Most solutions heavily rely on internet to work effectively => Zimbabwean networks are still unreliable

  1. Bill and raise invoices to motorist parking within the CBD or anywhere the council deems billable,
  2. Capture payment made by the motorist towards the raised bill,

  4. Track offenders and blacklist

  1. Configurations such as bay creation, user set up, package set up etc
  2. Management reports and business analytics
  3. Cash-up reports e.g. revenue by marshall, revenue by street, revenue by time period and by date

Sustainability
  1. No heavy investment in unnecessary hardware that does not determine returns. Councils do not need to buy a server or computers to run the system, they only need to buy the mobile gadgets.
  2. The system is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. This means it is fully an online system like your Gmail hence can easily scale and adapt to changing environment.
  3. Flexible and friendly service level agreements. We allow the council to collect 100% of its revenue and do not demand any commission from them. We only charge an annual license fees that depends on the size of the council (with flexible payment terms).
  4. Guaranteed after sales support, institutional memory and vendor availability since the solution is offered by a local university
  5. The system can be scaled up to include IoT sensors and integrated with other existing systems.
